Religions can be described by using the following three categories: Their creed (what is believed), their code (what behavior is expected), and their cultus (who or what is worshipped).
I believe in a breath of life that touches and flows through everything. I believe that this is larger than people or Gods, and that it is the Mystery that all religions attempt to explain. Simply stated, we are all One. We may perceive the Oneness differently.
I believe that patterns that are repeated on a cosmic level are reproduced within pieces of the universe. That is, I believe that cycles that repeat in Nature repeat in the universe, and also in our lives and portions of our lives.
I believe that it is important to honor our ancestors and Gods; Gods being ancestors so distant that they "belong" to all of us. Gods are mentors in life, archetypal ideals, and symbols of the great unknown. As such, they are our links with all of humanity.
I believe that I should recognize the breath of life within all things.
I believe that as all things are Nature (that is, One) that I should mark cycles within my life and within my corner of Nature -- that is, where I live. As such, I celebrate the changing of the seasons (the Celtic fire festivals), and cultural holidays (Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter, among others) as my holy days.
As my teachers and mentors, I believe I owe my Gods gratitude; as those who have gone before me, I believe that I owe my ancestors appreciation. I formalize these beliefs through private devotional practices.
I worship Gods of my ancient ancestors. In particular, my patron Goddess (Brighid) is an ancient Goddess of inspiration and artistry.
